RA SURVEY in VIETNAM - First Deployment 1966/67
Below is Bob Skitch's four part series of the deployment of the 1st Topographical Survey Troop to Vietnam in 1966.

At the beginning of each part Bob has included a Prologue and Dedication. In his own words "It has taken me forty years to decide to commit my Vietnam story to paper. Why so long you may well ask."

Well read for yourself and see. The story has been split into four parts so you can download Part 1 and get a feel for Bob's story before continuing.

FIELD SURVEY OPERATIONS
We continue to canvass support for this project to collect details on post WW2 survey ops. Our collective memory can fill in many gaps but it is fading with the passing of years. It is over ten years since the disbandment of the Corps we as individuals served, the Corps that gave such outstanding service to our nation for eighty-one years. We need to record what each of the units did over the fifty years following the end of WW2. It really is a simple exercise.

The following files show what we have collected so far. Please check and see if there is anything else that you can add using the form below.
